Fall weddings are becoming more and more popular as brides are discovering the natural beauty that surrounds us once summer begins to fade away. Mild temperatures, crisp air, bright blue skies - the Fall is the perfect backdrop to a beach ceremony and reception. In the Outer Banks, you will find the weather begin to cool off around the beginning of October and through November. Fiery red sunsets will take your breath away and leave your guests with lifetime memories. 
One common misconception is that Fall weddings require Fall decorations. Not true! I like to think of Fall wedding decor in the Outer Banks as "Cool Coastal Chic". Navy blue, plum, gold, champagne, and pomegranate are perfect hues for creating a timeless setting for your autumn wedding. Use starfish and soft lighting to keep it cozy-beachy! There are no rules to wedding decor – only suggestions! 
Fall photography is at its prime this time of the year. I chat with many of our local photographers and the general consensus is that an Outer Banks autumn is nature's perfect backdrop.
