Each event involves a panel of guest speakers, a short break, and then a field trip to a local historical location tied into the theme of the day. Fun Fly Festival Tuesday April 10, 2012 11am - 1pm
Watch and learn how to fly all kinds of kites sponsored by Flying Smiles Kites! Treat the whole family to a fun day in the park capturing the imagination and harnessing the power of Mother Nature! Children enjoy making paper kites to keep or bring your own to play with. Admission and Parking are free.
Corolla Pedal-Foot-Paddle Saturday April 14, 2012
Join us for OBX's unique triathlon. The Corolla Pedal-Foot-Paddle starts in Currituck Heritage Park with a 7-mile scenic cycle through Corolla followed by a 2-mile run on the beach, wrapping up with a 1-mile kayak paddle on the Currituck Sound. Come and participate individually or as a team!
And of course, don't forget... Whalehead Club Beach Music Festival (formerly the Marsh Grass Music Festival) Sunday May 27, 2012- 11 am to 6pm
Gather up the family and join us for a day of great beach music! We'll have the top performing Beach Music Bands in the country performing- The Holiday Band, The Craig Woolard Band, and Band of Oz. Discount tickets are available until April 30, 2012 for $15, 10 for $100! After May 1, tickets will be $20 each. Picnics and 5 quart coolers (that fit a 6-pack of soda) are encouraged. Larger coolers will be allowed for a $10 fee. High Cotton BBQ, beer from Coastal Beverage and refreshments will be available for purchase. *Limit one free cooler per person
